National Honor Society

Purpose: To encourage academic achievement while developing ideals of scholarship, character, service, and leadership.

Requirements: Each student must maintain a 3.5 GPA while also taking no less than 3 Honors classes each year beginning their Freshman year. Junior and Senior students who meet these requirements will be presented to the faculty for approval. ISS, OSS and detention are grounds for disqualification. In addition to their academic requirements, these students also have to provide evidence that they are active in school and community organizations, are leaders among their peers, and are recognized for their hard work and achievements by school or community personnel. Members must maintain a 3.5 GPA and 3 Honors courses to renew their membership each year. Seniors who do not maintain academic standards will not have their membership renewed and will not be able to wear the honor stole at graduation
