About Me
I am currently a business and marketing teacher at Riverdale High School. As a graduate from MTSU for both my undergrad and Master's degree, my roots are firmly planted in Murfreesboro. I've been at Riverdale since 2012, when I made a career change from the recruiting industry to the teaching field. I love being able to share my outside working world knowledge with the students of today that will become the leaders of tomorrow! I am also a DECA adviser www.deca.org
Virtual Enterprise
Virtual Enterprise is a student run business in both marketing and business clusters of CTE. VE is divided into different operating sections to include: marketing, accounting, human resources, sales and design, advertising, and administration. Students work throughout the year in each department to ensure the success of the business. Students who successfully complete VE earn a credit in economics and can return for a second year credit. Riverdale hosts Cloud 9 as their Virtual Enterprise businesses. VE also hosts and facilitates the MISS RHS pageant each year, where one girl is chosen to represent Riverdale!
Accounting I
Accounting I is a research and analytical class that uses real world accounting skills and strategies to see how businesses operate from an accounting standpoint. We work on a double entry accounting system that details all debits and credits in the generally accepted accounting equation. A=L+OE
Marketing I
Marketing is a class that focuses on the 4Ps, economics and marketing, selling, distribution, and teaching you how to promote your product. This class will help prepare you for business operations in the real world. This is a great lead-in class to social media and spear gear.
I have Planning 3rd period and you will find me in the Dean's office for A-E during 4th and 5th!
