I am originally from Ohio but I have returned to my roots "the hills of Tennessee." My husband retired and we decided to make Murfreesboro our home for good!!!
I taught for 23 years and was a substitute teacher in Rutherford County Schools for 3 years. This is my third year at Riverdale. I have two sons; Norman Jr. and Guerson Jean-Paul, who was named after a Haitian boy I met on a missionary trip and later sponsored years ago. I have the best of both worlds; I am a mother, a teacher, and a student of both!
I am a co-teacher for Algebra I with Mr. Stirbens, Ms. Morgan, and Mrs. Rogers.
IF YOU ARE ABSENT: It is extremely important to maintain your classwork. If you are absent, please check Schoology for your assignments. Assignments and notes for the entire week will be posted. Schoology can be accessed on the Riverdale High School website, then click on Clever. If this is your first time accessing Clever from home, you will need to put in your entire email address ([email protected]) and your password(the number you log into a computer at school).
GRADES: Check your grades on SKYWARD regularly using your username and password. If you need assistance with your login information, visit or call our attendance office at 615-890-6450.
SUPPLIES: Students need a 1 or 1 1/2 inch binder, paper, pencil, and highlighter for this class. It is very important that students bring their supplies to class daily. They should have all of their math notes and assignments in a 3 ring binder. We use a TI84 calculator for this course. It will help your child if he/she has his/her own calculator. This calculator will be used for all 4 years of high school math courses.
