What do you do in Warrior GSA?
Students in Warrior GSA get together to do lots of different things!
- Club meetings - get to know your fellow Warrior GSA members at bi-weekly meetings after school where we talk about what's happening in our lives, have snacks, and participate in small activities that help us learn about and strengthen community.
- Special Occasion gatherings - sometimes, it's fun just to get together with other members to celebrate at events! Throughout the year, students plan social gatherings with parties, bonfires and hayrides, movies, and other fun stuff! Sometimes, we even plan joint fun outings with other GSA's! Other times, we get together to volunteer our time and energy with community nonprofits to support a cause.
- Awareness and Advocacy - there are lots of things that happen in the larger community that impact members of this club. We take time to educate ourselves about it and discuss how we can respond to it.
- Fundraising - members plan and execute fundraising activities, like Pig Out.
- Leadership - members have the opportunity to connect with GLSEN TN leaders to attend trainings and events with other GSA club leaders.
