Welcome to Algebra I
Algebra I consists of the following topics:
1. Solving equations and inequalities/Systems of equations
2. Slope-intercept form, standard form/Arithmetic sequences and Linear functions
3. Geometric sequences and Exponential functions
4. Polynomials (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and factoring)
5. Quadratic functions
6. Statistics
Each topic will have notes, practice, quizzes, and tests.
**This course has a state EOC (end of course) exam which will be averaged into the semester grade.
IF YOU ARE ABSENT: Since we are on a block schedule, we will cover a lot of material in 1 day. It is extremely important to maintain your classwork. Please check schoology for your assignments.
GRADES: Check your grades on SKYWARD regularly using your user name and password. If you need assistance with your log in information, visit or call our attendance office at 615-890-6450.
SUPPLIES: binder(1 1/2 inch 3 ring binder), loose leaf paper, pencil OPTIONAL: highlighters, pens
**YOU DO NOT NEED A CALCULATOR!!!!!! WE WILL BE USING DESMOS ON YOUR LAPTOP.
