Welcome to Ms. Medley's Criminal Justice Class!

Welcome! I'm Ms. Medley, though my students often call me Ms. M.  

 

I am passionate about teaching the next generation of criminal justice professionals. In my classes, students explore the criminal justice field, covering topics such as safety, law enforcement, the judicial system, and corrections. Given the nature of the subject, some content is sensitive, as outline in the course syllabus. 

 

My teaching approach is dynamic and hands-on. Students participate in realistic labs, hear directly from industry guest speakers, and gain practical experience. We engage in career exploration, conduct research projects, deliver student-driven presentations, and complete written assignments. We also create and keep an interactive notebook that students can use as a resource both in my class, and in future classes in the field regardless of academic level. 

 

I believe learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable - even when it involves math. And yes, we do math in criminal justice! My goal is to help students build valuable skills, deepen their understanding of the field, and have fun along the way. 

 

All of my assignments are provided on the Schoology platform. Direct access is provided for students currently enrolled in my classes.
