We are pleased to announce one of Riverdale High School’s newest clubs, the WarriorWx Club! The club will hold its first meetings during Fall 2024.

 

Mission Statement:
The Warrior Weather (WarriorWx) Club aims to educate and engage students in the science of weather and meteorology. Our goal is to promote learning and appreciation of weather phenomena and to advocate on the importance of weather safety and preparedness.

 

The WarriorWx Club will connect, engage, and involve students in a multitude of activities, opportunities, and organizations, such as:
• learning through MetEd (UCAR)
• ham radio
• SKYWARN
• CoCoRaHS
• American Meteorological Society
• guest speakers
• college and career events
• professional meetings and presentations
• National Weather Service
• Severe Weather Awareness Day
• local television stations
