Welcome to the Riverdale Vocal Department!

Students can choose from one of our Choirs or General Music to earn their Fine Arts credit.

The Women's and Men's Chorales require only love and desire to sing, while the more advanced Riverdale Singers requires an audition to maintain high-performance expectations.

General Music - Open to any student interested in creating and connecting to the various elements of music. This class will explore "general" topics regarding music including music history, songwriting, music technology, classroom instruments, music criticism, and more.

Men's Chorale - Advanced Tenor-Bass ensemble open to all students, grades 9-12, with no audition is required. Participants must have a strong desire to perform, as performances range from small a-cappella ensembles to formal choral festival settings. Attendance at all performances is required. An audition for MTVA Honor Choirs is highly encouraged.

Women's Chorale - Advanced Soprano-Alto ensemble open to any treble student with no audition required. Participants must have a strong desire to perform and improve their vocal and performance skills. Attendance at all performances is required. An audition for MTVA Honor Choirs is highly encouraged.

The Riverdale Singers - Historic, and prestigious, vocal ensemble open to any student by audition. Suggested two years of prior choir experience, Mid-State/All-State participation, and private voice lessons are expected. Attendance at all performances is required.
