Welcome to the Riverdale Vocal Department!

Students can choose from General Music or one of our Choirs to earn their Fine Arts credit.

The Women's Chorale and Men's Ensemble require only love and desire to sing, while the more advanced Riverdale Singers requires an audition to maintain high-performance expectations. Descriptions of each of these options are available by clicking on the link to the left.

General Music - Open to any student interested in creating and connecting to the various elements of music. This class will explore "general" topics regarding music including music history, songwriting, music technology, classroom performance, music criticism, and more.

Men's Ensemble - Open to all male students, grades 9-12. No audition is required. Participants must have a strong desire to perform, as performances range from small a-cappella ensembles with beatboxing to formal choral festival settings. Attendance at all performances is required.

Women's Chorale - Advanced ladies' ensemble open to any female student. No audition required. Participants must have a strong desire to perform and improve their vocal and performance skills. Attendance at all performances is required.

The Riverdale Singers - Historic, and prestigious, mixed ensemble open to any students by audition. Suggested two years of prior choir experience, Mid-State/All-State participation, and private voice lessons are expected. Attendance at all performances is required.
