Mrs. Starrett's Main Page
Welcome, Warriors!
Hello to all, and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Mrs. Rachel Starrett, and I have the privilege of teaching Criminal Justice here at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro, TN. Our program is part of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathway and is designed to give students a strong foundation in law enforcement, courts, and corrections, while also exploring real-world applications in today’s justice system.
In my classroom, students will gain hands-on experience through interactive lessons, mock trials, forensic activities, and leadership opportunities. We also emphasize employability skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving—preparing students not only for careers in criminal justice but also for success in any profession they choose.
As a Riverdale Alumna, and previous law enforcement, I am passionate about connecting classroom learning to real-life experiences. Students in the Criminal Justice Program have opportunities to participate in educational field trips, interact with career-professionals and guest speakers, and join our CTSO - SkillsUSA, a student organization that helps build leadership and career-ready skills.
At Riverdale, I am committed to creating an engaging, respectful, and challenging learning environment where students can grow academically and personally. Just as my Criminal Justice teacher inspired me to pursue this field, I am dedicated to instilling passion and intrigue for Criminal Justice in our Warrior students! I look forward to working with our Warrior community as we learn, serve, and succeed together!
If you ever have questions or would like more information about our Criminal Justice program, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
